Preparing for 2010 and Beyond

Investors, entrepreneurs and individuals gathered at the Center for Community Cooperation to attend the Financial Strategies Seminar offered by the Economic Development Committee of the National Black MBA Association Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter. The session components consisted of a moderated panel discussion followed by an open question-and-answer section aimed to aid the attendees in preparing their businesses and financial portfolios for the new calendar year.
The panelists included Karen Tatum of Southwest Funding in Cedar Hill, Clifton Johnson of JP Morgan Chase, Bryon Whitaker who serves as a public practice accountant of EFSS in Texas and Oklahoma, and Renda Thomas, VP of Chase Business Banking. The discussion was moderated by Cindy Horton.The main discussions of the evening centered around homeownership, financial planning, and tax planning for entrepreneurs.
