If you had to pack up your desk tomorrow and leave your job site, how prepared are you to capture that next opportunity? What will be your action plan? The National Black MBA Association of Dallas Fort-Worth teamed up with Prudential Insurance to sponsor “Let’s Get Serious About Career Planning,” an interactive talk show event held at the SMU Cox School of Business and moderated by Kevin T. Davis, president and founder of Professor K Enterprises, to answers these questions amongst many others.
The evening was centered around the types of transitions that one makes throughout their career and also encouraged the attendees to take a deep look into their current career position. Three experienced talk show guests were allowed to share their experience through moderated conversation and Davis summed each transition with a career planning tip. The evening line-up included Lisa Morton of Pepsico, Ingra Conley of Texas Instruments and Bob Williams of Prudential Financial.
